Welcome to ReefWise....

This site is here to document our first foray into the marine world. I have kept tropical fish since I was about 12 years old and have always wanted to try keeping marine fish but until now couldn't even comprehend being able to afford any livestock.

My husband and I decided to go ahead with the tank when we made the decision to put an extension on the back of our house. I had always wanted to house a tank in a wall so this was my chance (without any messy demolition work).

I did a lot of research both online and in books before going ahead with this project and the one piece of advice that really stuck with me was that when it comes to marine tanks bigger is better. So our tank is 96" x 30" x 24" (WxHxD). This is connected to a sump that is 72" x 24" x 24" giving us a total capacity of approx 500 US Gallons.

To see more on our progress please browse the site and feel free to leave any comments or suggestions in the Guest Book.
